Shadi Azizi

Shadi Azizi is an Iranian urbanist, urban designer, and architect whose works address a multitude of social issues including empowerment of minority groups in urban areas (i.e. women, refugees, youth, etc.). She holds a master of architecture from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), 2000, and a Ph.D. in Architecture from IA Science and Research University, 2007 Tehran. She is also an assistant professor of IAU Central Tehran University in the school of art and architecture. She is a co-founder of NESHA, an architecture, landscape, and urban planning and design firm with over 140 employees (Established 2000) She has accomplished over 25 projects in her. career. She is an award winning woman architect and urbanist and her research work has been featured in several periodicals and peer-reviewed journals She speaks in public and private venues, renewing her work and expanding her agenda of inclusivity and empowering the socially marg halized groups.
